Mouth to Mouth Theatre Productions present:
The 2009 East Anglian summer garden tour of
‘The Taming of the Shrew’

This summer, William Shakespeare’s boisterous examination of gender politics graces some of East Anglia’s finest gardens.

Mouth to Mouth provides an all girl cast for the ‘play within a play’ of this rowdy romantic comedy.

Beautiful Bianca has many suitors, but her father Baptista says she cannot marry until her ill-tempered sister Katharina finds a husband. Along comes Petruchio who, determined “to wive it wealthily in Padua,” cleverly obtains the hand of feisty Kate who has frightened off all previous candidates. He then sets out to tame his new bride with the help of his sidekick Grumio. While Kate and Petruchio engage in a lively battle of wits, three hopeful suitors vie for Bianca’s affections…

Boo, hiss and cheer as we discover who wins out in this hilariously provocative battle of the sexes!

“Stunning physical Shakespeare…If I could award six stars I would.”
