Black Shuck- The Musical



This April The Cut's resident theatre company, Mouth to Mouth, will kick off the spring season with a musical performance based around the famous legend of Black Shuck, the notorious devil dog of Suffolk. 

Black Shuck The Musical is to be staged in the open air, at Halesworth Millennium Green upon a replica sailing wherry in the New Reach Canal. Inspired by the stories of smugglers that the region  is justly famous for, the play features dragoons, buccaneers, comedy and  romance.

The play was commissioned by the trustees of  The Millenium Green and highlights this uniquely beautiful environment, the RiverBlyth and  the canal that runsthrough  it. 

Written by Mouth's artistic director James Holloway, Black Shuck will be performed with Mouth to Mouth's inimatable verve and vigour. Boasting an original score by composer Michael Peck and choreography byCaroline Mummery, Black Shuck promises an evening of song, dance, laughter and suspense.
